What is Covenant Giving?
A number of our members make regular contributions to the ministry of the church through a system of planned giving called Covenant Giving. In the covenant, they promise to give an annual sum to the church. Income that is given to churches and charities fall into a special tax category allowing persons who give through a covenant to therefore reclaim the tax paid on the sum covenanted.
What are the benefits of Covenant Giving?
Covenants help the church plan its finances, and they help the giver because they receive tax relief on the money that was given to their church.
Who can give via a covenant arrangement?
Anyone who pays tax on their income can give under a covenant.
How much am I expected to give under a covenant?
You may covenant any sum of money; it is left entirely up to you, as your response to the ministry of the church. Some of our present covenants are a few hundred dollars; some are over a thousand dollars. Please choose what you would like to give.
How would you respond to those who may feel uneasy about receiving a tax refund on the offering to God?
Reclaiming the tax paid is a legitimate benefit that the government has made available to income tax paying citizens who support their church, and an opportunity to demonstrate good stewardship over the resources provided to us by of God. The covenant giver should use any refund in the spirit that it was originally given…for the Glory of God.
How often do you make a covenant offering?
There are two different methods:

You may make your offering in one lump sum, either in cash/cheque or transfer funds online

You may make offerings periodically throughout the year, either in cash/cheque via offering envelopes provided by the church, or via online transfer.​
